Eeeep, adding my first Twinkle Eyed pony to my collection of My little Ponies, everybody meet Galaxy;
Isn’t she a star?
And here is Life, reaching for the stars herself. What you can’t really see in the picture, is Aston, holding her up, enabling her to reach the play thing. We are trying to make her use her hind legs and the muscles in her abdomen, by placing this feather just out of reach, but most of the time, she just sends it longing glances and gives up without even trying.
Recovery is hard. So, once in a while, she gets a helping hand. She is actually engaging her hind legs now and her muscles, so that is pretty fantastic. For the first long time, whenever we would life her up, she would be kind of like liquid, just melting through our hands, but she is slowly growing stronger now.
Cat, rehabilitation. Things I never thought I would find myself figuring out how to do… But as long as it is working, it’s worth the time and effort. Life plays a lot these days, a lot more than she ever has. Growing stronger, might be hard, but it is making her happy as well. I love seeing that.
