A Little Snow

We did get a bit of snow the other day. In a strange coincidence, it happened to snow and thunder at the same time, which is something I have never tried before. As it turns out, Ablaze is not brave when it comes to thunder and my plans for getting snowy pictures of my foal, while he is still a foal, quickly went away. Just like the snow didn’t last long. But here he is, reluctantly outside for two seconds.

My other boys though, love it, no matter how little snow there is. Saleem and Apocalipse, father and son, now almost at the same size.

And I know, they are dripping with mud and look like they haven’t been groomed for months. The day I took these pictures, I was mucking out at my house, for 8 hours straight, and they didn’t dry up, so it is sort of true. I don’t groom my horses when they are wet, to not spoil the natural protection in their fur coats. They do look like happy horses though, mud or not.

That is all that matters to me.
